| Ray Bailey formed Harley Curtain Wall Ltd in 1996, working initially from an office at home. Harley started working for small developers and general contractors in London and South East, offering a limited range of aluminium windows and curtain wall products. Within twelve months, the company had gained a reputation for service and quality, resulting in a healthy level of repeat business.
With the confidence of a secured forward order book, Harley moved into offices in Crowborough, and began recruiting additional staff for its expanding business. |
Harley continued to build an impressive portfolio of clients and, in 2002, secured a major contract with Wates Construction to over-clad four 11-storey tower blocks in Croydon. This enabled the company to formalise its cladding division to specialise in refurbishment work for social housing groups and Local Authorities.
With a move to its own brand new purpose-built offices completed in early 2004, Harley is now well established as one of the leaders in the field of design and construction of complete building envelopes. |
