RAY BAILEY – MANAGING DIRECTORRay entered the curtain walling business straight from University, taking up a trainee contracts manager position with Elemeta in 1981. Ray worked for a number of curtain walling contractors before starting Harley back in 1997. Ray’s vision was to create a high quality contracting business, operating in the field of external envelopes, servicing a small number of key client’s in London and South East. Ray has a keen eye for the technical side of the business, as well as over 25 years practical experience of operating on site as a specialist contractor. |

MARK STAPLEY – OPERATIONS DIRECTORMark started his career in the drawing office at HCP, a perimeter heating and cladding contractor back in 1986. A move into curtain walling came in 1988 when Mark joined a Sussex based Kawneer fabricator, working as a draftsmen in a busy design office. Mark was recruited by Harley in 1998 initially in the design office, but developed a more executive role overseeing day to day operations. MARK HARRIS – COMMERCIAL MANAGERMark’s career in construction started in 1985, working for a small Hastings based shopfitting company, carrying out general office duties and supporting project staff. A move into the curtain walling business came in 1988, when Mark joined a Sussex based Kawneer fabricator working alongside Ray Bailey and Mark Stapley. Mark joined Harley at the end of its first year of trading, to undertake the role of sales, marketing, and contract negotiations including all commercially related matters. As the business expanded, Mark’s remit increased to managing the estimating department, business development, and building relationships with key supply chain partners. GRAHAM HACKLEY – TECHNICAL & ESTIMATING MANAGERGraham’s career started at Alco Waste Management as a Site Engineer. Graduating with a degree in Construction Management, Graham joined Shepherd Construction, and was immediately enrolled into their site manager training scheme. Graham progressed his career joining Galliford Try, before coming to join Harley in 2002. He worked initially as a Project Manager before progressing into an estimating role. In recent years Graham has continued his CPD by undertaking the MSc in Façade Engineering at Bath University and acquiring professional member status to the Chartered Institute of Building, and the Society of Façade Engineers. Graham now performs a dual role at Harley interpreting and developing building envelope bids, and providing technical support for other team members as and when required. TIM LOVELL – CONTRACTS MANAGERTim’s career started at a high end international fit out contractor which included M & E services mainly for the British Foreign Office, Ministry of Defence & Hotel industry. Tim has gained excellent knowledge on the dynamics of buildings and trained in building services engineering. After joining Harley in 2001, Tim spent time working through the various internal departments, before progressing into the contracts department. DANIEL ANKETELL-JONES – DESIGN MANAGERDaniel started his career in 2003 working as a CAD Engineer as part of a team in a Curtain Wall Design House, undertaking design work for numerous major curtain walling contractors. Always a keen engineer, he moved into the oil industry in 2005, working as a Project Manager, where he developed his skills working on larger scale projects.
